My daughter was dying to make homemade caramel popcorn for her Halloween party and it turned out delicious! So delicious that I wanted to share it with all of you! Check out how easy this recipe is…and I made a lot…enough for a party! This is a great recipe to make for a healthy fun treat any day of the week.
Homemade Caramel Popcorn Recipe
Preheat your oven to 225 degrees F.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter, maple syrup, honey, and salt. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda and vanilla. Keep stirring for a bit until it settles down (nice foam, eh?!). Now do this next step quickly so you can get all of the popcorn covered…Pour the homemade caramel over the homemade popcorn. Keep stirring it all around until all the popcorn is covered.
Spread the popcorn out on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper or a silicon baking sheet. Bake in a 225 degree F oven for about 30-45 minutes, checking and flipping it every 10 minutes or so.
