Have you ever heard of ‘salpicon’? It is basically an amazing marinated cold brisket recipe with onions, tomatoes, chipotle peppers, cheese and cilantro. Amazing and totally reminds my of my hometown. This recipe came from my mother who contributed it to an old Junior League cookbook from El Paso, Texas, where I grew up. Maple Cider Brisket

I have tried many brisket recipes over the years and actually don’t love many of them. I used to make one with the famous onion soup mix but certainly can’t make that now given all the MSG and fake food nasty chemicals in it. Chanukah and Winter goodies

In addition to what I alreadyposted for this week, I also made these three recipes: 1) kohlrabi latkes – basically used 2 medium kohlrabi -peeled and grated, eggs, coconut flour and onion and fried them up in beeftallow – they were really good – a nice sweetness from the kohlrabi.
