Notes
Store-Bought Alternative: - Can use store-bought apple juice or cider - Choose juice without preservatives (ascorbic acid is okay) - Unfiltered juice works well - Follow same fermentation processStorage: - Keeps in refrigerator for about 1 month - Fermentation continues slowly in fridgeTips: - Room temperature is ideally 68-72°F - Taste may become more tart over time - Organic apples recommended for fresh juice - Some separation is normal; shake gently before servingVariations: - Try with spiced apple cider - Can use different apple varieties - Experiment with fermentation time for desired taste
