Flourless Brownies

Rich, gooey brownies made with just a few wholesome ingredients. These grain-free, dairy-free brownies have an irresistible molten chocolate cake texture.

Equipment

  • 8 x 4 loaf pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup raw cacao powder
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup Grade B preferred
  • 5 tablespoons extra virgin coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
  • 2. Line an 8 x 4 loaf pan with parchment paper.
  • 3. In a bowl or blender, mix all ingredients until velvety smooth.
  • 4. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • 5. Bake for 30-35 minutes. The center will appear uncooked and have a slight jiggle.
  • 6. Allow to cool completely for 5 hours before cutting, or refrigerate for faster cooling.

Notes

Texture Note:
The center will appear uncooked but will set up after cooling, resulting in a molten chocolate cake-like texture.
Substitutions:
- Can use coconut palm sugar (1 cup) instead of maple syrup
- Baking time may need slight adjustment with sugar substitution
Tips:
- Using a blender creates an extra smooth batter
- Can refrigerate to speed up cooling time
- Best served at room temperature
- Store in refrigerator for up to a week
