What we ate today – 09/12/12
This post is part of Homemade Mommy’s ‘what we ate today’ series. I post what both I ate and what I fed my 3 year old daughter to give this community ideas on how to eat real food and that it is possible to feed a child REAL food.

Dinner last night was delicious, although Drew and I ended up eating after Danny was in bed. We had a simple tomatillo sauce with fried eggs and melted cheese on top of a tortilla. Yum. I used to make this a lot when we had an insane number of tomatillos in the garden, but that was pre-kids. Danny’s dinner was yogurt, apple sauce, two clementines and an apple.
Btw, the dehydrated kefir grains have started rehydrating here in Wisconsin. Drew had fun joking about anonymous white powder arriving in the mail. Thanks!
I hope the kefir survives the trip – let me know how it goes! I have more now so if they don’t make it then I can send them in milk next time. Yay for huevos rancheros!
