What we ate today – 09/12/12

This post is part of Homemade Mommy’s ‘what we ate today’ series. I post what both I ate and what I fed my 3 year old daughter to give this community ideas on how to eat real food and that it is possible to feed a child REAL food.

  1. Dinner last night was delicious, although Drew and I ended up eating after Danny was in bed. We had a simple tomatillo sauce with fried eggs and melted cheese on top of a tortilla. Yum. I used to make this a lot when we had an insane number of tomatillos in the garden, but that was pre-kids. Danny’s dinner was yogurt, apple sauce, two clementines and an apple. 🙂

Btw, the dehydrated kefir grains have started rehydrating here in Wisconsin. Drew had fun joking about anonymous white powder arriving in the mail. Thanks!

    1. I hope the kefir survives the trip – let me know how it goes! I have more now so if they don’t make it then I can send them in milk next time. Yay for huevos rancheros!
