What we ate today – 10/22/12

This post is part of Homemade Mommy’s ‘what we ate today’ series. I post what both I ate and what I fed my 3 year old daughter to give this community ideas on how to eat real food and that it is possible to feed a child REAL food.

I have to say that today has been extra busy all across the board.  I am not in a cooking dinner kind of mood so I pulled out salmon which I can quickly sear.  My secret to perfectly cooked salmon every time?  I sear it in a pan on medium high heat skin side down.  I wait until about a 1/4 of an inch looks cooked and then I remove the pan from the heat and cover it. I then prepare the rest of my dinner.  By the time I am done the salmon is perfectly cooked (about 15 min sitting time in the covered pan).  Voila!

  1. Just curious – why only you and your child? What about your hubby? 🙂

    1. I cannot keep track of what he eats too in a day on a regular basis! He does eat breakfast and dinner at home but he eats lunch out…
