Strawberry Date Ice Cream
I had my three year old home from preschool for the winter break and a few days ago she decided she wanted to make ice cream. So I asked her what flavor and she said ‘Strawberry Date’! So we concocted this recipe together and you know what? It turned out fabulous and it didn’t take but 15 minutes!
Ingredients
- 2 cups raw cream – where to find raw milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 3 dates, pitted
- 1 Tbsp maple sugar or raw honey – where to find natural sweeteners
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth. Add to an ice cream machine according to the manufacturer instructions. Enjoy!
Is there something you could substitute for the egg yolk?
You could just skip it.
I tried this recipe and it was a success. So good!!! I used maple syrup and it worked out ok. I was so obsessed with this ice cream that I tried with peaches and it was so, so good. I think I want to use this recipe for my daughters birthday party since it was so simple to make and so yummy of course. Thank you!!!!
