Got Real Milk?
I picked up my 3 gallons of raw milk this past weekend and got a nice surprise. One of the gallons we purchased had a full 6 cups of cream on top! I have no idea how we got so lucky! There is nothing else like real milk – not even organic! Skim milk certainly doesn’t look like this!

How long will raw milk stay fresh? We have to drive 3 hours out of state to buy so I’d like to load up a bit if I can? Thanks! Love all the info!

Put it on ice and you will be good to go for the drive. You can freeze it at home to make it last longer. It doesn’t go ‘putrid’ like pasteurized milk, it just changes. It will sour but you can still use it to make kefir or make cottage cheese or other types of cheeses. I usually can drink our raw milk for about 10-14 days before it starts tasting a bit sour to me…but it all depends on your farmer.
