Homemade Nutella Recipe (Nut-Free!)

Homemade Nutella Recipe 2

This is a very easy homemade nutella recipe that is nut-free! It is made with ground sesame seeds or tahini. The flavor is so delicious with the ghee as well. I have been eating this with a spoon all week! This a very healthy treat your whole family will love!

Use as a spread on some delicious sourdough or sprouted bread or even my grain-free graham crackers! I also use this as frosting for cupcakes or muffins. Or I have been known to just eat it with a spoon…

  1. Do you have a suggestion for a dairy free substitute for ghee in this recipe?

      1. The coconut oil would be very delicious in this! I use coconut oil with chocolate instead of butter on purpose because it’s just so tasty!

Oh this is soooo good! I doubled the recipe because I knew we would love it. I used coconut oil for dairy free. My entire family loved it. Now making grain free graham crackers so we don’t eat it all by the spoonful.

  3. Been looking for a good nut-free Nutella recipe for ages! Totally pinning this and making asap! Thanks 🙂

  4. I am so making this today. My kids LOVE nutella, but I don’t love how it seems to be a zero food. As in zero healthy, zero good food in it, but it tastes so good! I am NOT paleo, but I ran out of spelt flour for the month and came across an amazing “paleo” pancake that takes either a mashed banana or pumpkin puree, an egg and spices if you wish. Whip together and you fry like a pancake. This nutella would be awesome on that!

    1. I have a grain free banana pancake on my site as well and this is exactly what we did the other day! We are already out – I need to make more!

  5. Hi!

Would you be able to use butter instead of ghee? Thanks!!

    1. I think you could! Let us know how it turns out!

  6. I would really love to try this, but am allergic to sesame – do you think this would work with almond butter?

  7. The second time I tried this recipe, the oil separated? Is this coz I used oil to make tahini?

    1. I am not sure – I haven’t had this issue. Was the oil warm?

  8. My husband and I made this recipe last week and LOVED IT!! We are already out, so we are making more tonight 🙂

  9. Mmmm so delicious!
I was wondering whats the shelf life?
Should I store it in the fridge?

    1. I stored in the fridge for over a month and it was fine!
