What a great giveaway!! What couldn’t you buy with 1,000 smackaroos? My first investment would be to introduce all of my friends and family to coconut oil! It’s so multifunctional and incredible for the body; why wouldn’t I invest in the health of not only myself but the health of the people I love? I would also use the money to fill my parent’s house with healthy goods. They have been feeding me all my life; it would be nice to give back. Lastly, I would use the money help me transition overseas. I’m moving to South Korea to teach English to foreigners and some of the healthy products in American can’t be obtained over there. I’d love to have some healthy staples to feel more at home over there!

We’re planning to move out of the country next year, so this would be amazing for helping us restock our home with essentials, since we’ll have to get rid of everything in order to go over there. (And there’s a service/club thing you can join in that country so the shipping wouldn’t be as horrendous as it would be otherwise.)

If I were to win an Amazon gift card for this much, I would definitely use it to purchase things that I need in my kitchen. I have always loved cooking and baking and preparing diverse and healthy food for my family. I am on a budget and mostly live paycheck to paycheck, so I have not had to opportunity to purchase the utensils and equipment that I need in the kitchen for preparing meals. One thing in mind is a Kitchenaid mixer. I could use one of these for SO many things! I would get a cookware set and a bakeware set. The cookware set that I have now is in serious need of replacement. The bakeware set that I have it only a three piece set, so I don’t have many options for baking. A cutlery set and a knife set are needed badly as well. I would love to be able to cook and bake the way my heart desires. I know that sounds corny, but I have always loved it so much! I remember cooking and baking with my grandmother as a child and I loved it more than anything. =] Thanks so much to you and your friends for the chance to win in this giveaway! Bless you!

And if they’re some money left over, I’m cool with an ebook.

Our daughter is going through a divorce and has 3 small boys so this would get them Christmas as well as help pay some bills for other family members. My youngest brother has some serious medical problems right now and can’t afford his medication and currently has no insurance from losing his job so this would also provide him with some of his medications.

I would use the gift card to buy a small ipad type communication device for my special teen girl. She will need one in the next few months when she begins to work in public, with folks who dont understand about people with communication/neurological disorders. She’s mildly retarded, but is very much computer savvy (unlike me) and has a very good memory of just about everything. (Well, everything that interests her, anyway)
She lost her dad/my husband, 4 years ago, just before Christmas. It has been quite a journey for her since birth, to overcome her handicaps, then her dad’s death.
That’s what I’d buy.

It would be so great to do this because taking care of ourselves usually comes last and is the last thing there is to spend money on after monthly living expenses. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity:))

I love reading and learning from Homemade Mommy! I’m trying to find ways to keep my family and I healthy. Navigating through this world of GMO/processed foods is tricky and I am a little baffled by it. I’m glad To be learning new things everyday. Trying to do something about it is better than not doing anything. Thanks for all the great tips and information.
We also love Amazon! They allow us to buy most things we need and ship to us anywhere in the world if necessary. Amazon keeps us connected to the good old USA! We have moved a few times in the past 10 years for my husband’s job and just moved again from California to Asia for a few years. We could use some new things for the new home away from home. With new friends and family here, we could sure use it for some Christmas gifts too! It’s also convenient to send some gifts for friends and family back in California too!
Good luck and blessings to you and everyone this holiday season!

Shelley Wade says
To be honest $1000 is a lot of money, but I know it would help out a great deal as we live off of 700 a month plus whatever I can get as side work. So Christmas sadly is pretty much non-existent. Currently we have to use bikes for transportation and I’d use this gift card to get a safe bike seat for my little one plus a helmet as it would be easier to bike 10 miles than walk in a stroller. On top of that I would get her some much needed toys and clothes for Christmas. Grabbing a blender to make soups and other meals is also on the list as is grabbing some non-gmo flours, coconut oil, and other non local food stuffs. I also would be able to get our family a heater as the house we are buying apparently doesn’t have one as originally told. I would also buy some more seeds and other garden related items for our garden, all the extra we give away or give to food banks. Thank you for your consideration.
Caitlin says
If I was to be so lucky and win…I would use this giftcard to “pay it forward.” I have always dreamed of being able to give a great gift to my brother and his fellow Marines who are busy fighting for our freedom. They miss most family events and holidays but stay strong and endure the unimaginable for us. Our US Marines are the most grateful men and women I know and deserve a package worth $1000 of healthy snacks for energy and useful items to put a smile on their face and love in their hearts.
Pam says
I would love to buy all kinds of amazing essentials to make feeding my family in a healthy way much easier!!
Ryyn says
I would deck out my kitchen with all the fermenting and gourmet items it’s been missing! I also can’t have gluten, eggs or dairy so it’s pretty limiting when you’re drooling over store bought pastries, HOWEVER this gift card would make a world of difference in my kitchen!
Danielle Moore says
One thousand dollars would do a lot for my daughter, husband and I. It would be hard not to overload on toys for my one year old, but there are sooo many good ones, I would buy some extras for kids whose parents couldn’t afford much this year. Just yesterday I was searching Amazon to find beanie hats and gloves in bulk to hand out to our City’s homeless or otherwise in need.

We’d like to be able to fill more of that need.
