What we ate today – 8/29/12

Breakfast:
DD: goat yogurt, applesauce, flax seeds and cinnamon and banana, 2 applesauce muffins at her school ‘morning muffins’ event for parents and kiddos
me: scrambled eggs, duck bacon, kraut (and a few hail merry’s macaroons – what can I say – i have a sweet tooth today)

Snack:
DD: apples and cashew butter

Lunch:
DD: bean taco on corn with raw MULU cheese, carrots, guacamole
me: egg salad, salsa, guac, kefir cream cheese and some gravlax

Snack:
DD: raw MULU cheese, dried cranberries
me: banana

Dinner:
DD: tacodeli tacos at farmers market
me: leftover steak

this should be entitled what did I make today – I made two different dinners for friends who just had babies
dinner #1 – poached salmon filet, brown rice (cooked in chicken broth) and roasted butternut squash
dinner #2 – thankfully my housekeeper made this yesterday – chicken enchilada casserole (using the chicken from making the chicken broth!) and I made the brown rice and black beans today
